Our family of six together outdoors
Our Family

Come On In and Meet Us.

Let us actually introduce ourselves. Every one of us has a part in the sound, and verses we hold close. We are six Watsons, two parents and four kids, and we are happiest crowded around one mic singing the same song. So pull up a chair. We would love for you to get to know us.

Life as a Singing Family

A House of Melody.

We are a regular family: sometimes we laugh too loud, we can get on each other's nerves, and somebody is always singing, even when they are supposed to be doing something else. There are six of us, and somewhere along the way singing together became the thing we do, in the kitchen, in the van, and up at the front of a church.

Music and faith go hand in hand with us. The kids grew up on it, and nobody can remember a time when it was any different. When we load up and drive to your church, we simply bring all of that with us, the same songs we sing at home, only now you get to sing along too.

We are not trying to put on a show. We just really love this, and we love getting to share it. Most importantly, if your people walk out a little more encouraged than they walked in, that is the best part of the whole thing.

Meet the Family

Six Voices, One Family.

So here we all are. Each of us picked a verse that means a lot to us, and we figured we would let everybody say a little something in their own words. Some of us are wordier than others. You will see.

Papa Charles

I am the dad of this crew, and I play the guitar and sing the low part, the floor everybody else gets to build on. Erin and I met in college, and I will tell you, the first time we played music together, I knew something special had just started. Who knew that those beginning moments in our relationship would lead to this moment? GOD did. This family was founded on faith and music, and how quickly it turned into the six of us crowded around one mic, which is still my favorite place to stand. My job now is to keep us pointed the right way and to mean every word we sing. I love our singing, but I'm most proud to see my family walking with God.

"He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"

Mama E

I am the mama, the one counting heads before we pull out of the driveway and finding the shoe that always goes missing. Charles and I met in the music building in college. Well, with that smile and those guitar skills, it didn't take long before I knew that I wanted to sing next to that man for the rest of my life. What a blessing it has been to add four more voices who sing with us! My favorite sound in the whole world is all of us finding the same chord in the kitchen as we live life. Getting to make music with the people I love most is a gift from GOD, and I try hard never to take a single note of it for granted.

"God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins."

Charles

Howdy, I'm Charles. For as long as I can remember, I have been neck-deep in music. I am not the one who wants the solo. As I have found my own voice, I've discovered a love for being the steady line underneath that makes everybody else sound a little better. Singing harmony and playing the bass are my things. This musical adventure with my family has helped me to see more clearly how great our God is. My prayer is that God allows me to do this for the rest of my life.

"If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!"

Matthew

Hi, I'm Matthew. When I was born, I had a very loud cry. Mama likes to tell the story of how she prayed that I would be able to sing on key since I could already fill the room with volume. I learned to sing standing shoulder to shoulder with my older brother Charles, so harmonizing with him feels natural. I enjoy singing lead and playing piano. I love that singing together, as a family, is something we get to do.

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

James

Hi, my name is James. I live with two older brothers who can sing harmony very well, so I had to find a way to stand out. I do that with my contagious smile and my unique talking style for my solo moments. My favorite part is the road, piling into the van or motorhome, and rolling up to a church none of us has ever set foot in. I like that you never quite know how a day is going to go, who you will meet, or which song will be the one that gets the whole room singing along.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."

Psalm 119:105 · A favorite of James.

Elizabeth

I am Elizabeth, the only girl in a house full of brothers. Singing with my family is hands down my favorite thing in the world…but it's in a close competition with riding my horse. Something I love about visiting so many churches is how friendly everyone is and the wonderful desserts people share at the occasional meals we have. Yum! I really enjoy seeing the congregation connect with the music and start clapping or dancing along. I'm the youngest of my family, but I like it when I get to take a solo. One of my favorite songs to hear my brothers do is "Jesus Hold My Hand". I love to see how they work together to make the song exciting.

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."
